Jason’s main double bass is an Italian instrument made by Giuseppe Lombardi. It is a slab cut 3/4 size carved bass made with maple sides and a poplar top and back. The neck conversion was done by Mike Shank of Pennsylvania. His strings are Permanent solo for G and D (often tuned to standard) Solo Spirocore A and a standard Spirocore E. His electric bass is a 1973 Fender Jazz bass.
